Legal basis

The legal basis to process your data is based on your consent to process your data for specific IP related purposes, compliance with a contract between you and ipconsult or specific steps before entering a contract, legal obligation to comply with the law or a legitimate interest to provide you with information.

Communicating with third parties

ipconsult holds your data confidentially. Data is provided to selected third parties only for the purposes of providing necessary services. By way of example, your data may be shared with the UK Intellectual Property Office, European Patent Office, World Intellectual Property Organisation and agents worldwide who may be instructed to represent you on our behalf.

Retention of data

ipconsult will hold your data for the duration of your contractual relationship with us and as long as is required to comply with professional and regulatory requirements relating to the services we are providing to you, to include meeting Statute requirements and to permit completion of the service(s) and any related responsibilities, unless you submit a valid request for removal of your data.
