About ipc

ipconsult is a private practice whose aim is to assist clients to commercialise their IP profitably.

ipconsult operates as a hub, where files are held and managed at a central office by the ipc team. In addition to our core members we engage an experienced network of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys to complement the team and handle specialist subject matter. This network of consultants operate through our hub as representatives of ipconsult.

ipconsult is regulated by the Intellectual Property Regulation Board.

Neville Walker

UK Chartered Patent Attorney & European Patent Attorney

Neville worked at GEC-Marconi IP in 1987; moved to private practice in 1989, then to BTG where he managed the MRI IP portfolio, working in electronics and telecoms. In 1997 he handled licensing and IP due diligence during the floatation of Scipher. After a short period at Motorola, he started ipconsult in 2001 and now focuses on ‘SME’ businesses, assisting them to protect and optimise their IP.

Rebecca Mack

UK Chartered Patent Attorney & European Patent Attorney

Rebecca graduated in Zoology from Swansea University, and worked for six years at HSBC bank before starting at ipconsult in 2008 as the Office Manager. Rebecca is qualifed as a CIPA Administrator and in 2012 Rebecca took the decision to train as a Patent Attorney, whilst maintaining her role as Office Manager. Since qualifying Rebecca continues a multi-functional role running the office, managing the company finances along with her fee earning role as a Patent Attorney.

Andrew Kenny

UK Chartered Patent Attorney & European Patent Attorney

Andrew joined the patent profession in 2010. Before this he worked as an engineer on electrical and mechanical machinery and related electronic and computerised control systems in industry and the military in the UK and the USA. Andrew works on patents, designs, and trade marks, from prosecuting applications to infringement issues.

Kate Butler

UK Chartered Patent Attorney & European Patent Attorney

Kate entered the Patent profession in 2002. She graduated with a First Class Hons. Degree in Natural Sciences from Trinity Hall, Cambridge, her degree encompassing physics, material science and chemistry. She subsequently completed a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry at UMIST/the Paterson Institute for Cancer Research at Christie’s Hospital. Kate specialises in chemical, pharmaceutical and mechanical based technology.

Elisabeth graduated in Business Studies at University Fumec (Brazil) and after relocating in the UK commenced work at IPC in 2007. Elisabeth is responsible for the management of granted and registered IP rights taking care of all renewal related matters. Elisabeth also provides administrative support to the ipconsult team and handles our outgoing reporting communications.
